The Quest Diagnostics project was a 25,500-square-foot build-out of an existing space to accommodate the relocation of Quests’ Auburn Hills laboratory and office facility. Demolition took the space down to bare studs, and work on electrical and plumbing commenced. Extensive saw-cutting of the floor was needed in order to provide water to required lab equipment. Since every inch of the floor plan was being utilized, extreme accuracy was needed when installing each and every device. Working closely with CBRE, The Alan Group coordinated the final push to complete last-minute construction items while allowing Quest to place equipment, test and certify all operations to maintain a smooth transition for the Auburn Hills facility to the Troy location.
